    2017-2018 School Council Parent Representatives

Parents and the community are critical to the success of students and schools. All current parents of Sequoyah Middle School students, business and community members are welcome to participate.     Georgia Parent Survey

    The Georgia Parent Survey contains 24 questions.  All parents are encouraged to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey because the data will be used as part of the calculation of the School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. The Georgia Parent Survey is also available in Spanish. Parents may select the Spanish version within the survey.

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year!  The administrative team, faculty and staff of Sequoyah Middle School have worked hard for a successful start to the school year.  We look forward to seeing all of our new and returning students on August 7th, on time, in uniform, and ready to learn.  You will find updates and reminders listed below.  We look forward to working collaboratively for the success of each student.
  • Students are expected to be in school from 8:15am – 3:10pm each day. Student arriving to school after 8:15am must be signed in by a parent or guardian.  
  • Students are not allowed in the building until 7:50am and must be picked up by 3:45pm.
  • Parent conferences are not scheduled during the homeroom/ time of 7:45am – 8:45am.
  • No checkouts will be granted after 2:30pm or 1:40pm on Early Release Days.
  • Students should report in full uniform dress daily.
  • Parent Meet and Greet (All Grades) will occur on Thursday, August 3rd from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
We look forward to a great school year where students succeed due to not only excellent behavior but hard work in a consistent manner at all times.
