GMAS Letter

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we approach the Georgia Milestones (GMAS) testing window April 28 - May 16, we want to remind you how important it is for your child to be present and on time each day of testing. These assessments help us understand how well students are learning the material taught throughout the year and where we can better support them moving forward.

Here’s why attendance during GMAS is critical:

  • 📊 Accurate Insight: Tests provide valuable information about your child’s academic progress.

  • 🎯 Student Confidence: Being present helps students stay on track and feel confident with the routine.

  • 🧩 A Complete Picture: When students are absent, we lose part of the overall picture of their academic growth.

  • 🛠️ Support Planning: Results help us tailor classroom instruction and support services.

We encourage all students to:

  • Get a good night’s sleep

  • Eat a healthy breakfast

  • Arrive to school on time

  • Come with a positive mindset!

If your child is sick or there are extenuating circumstances, please contact the school so we can arrange make-up testing.

Thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s education. With your support, we know our students will do their best!

Warm regards,
Mr. Jhamare Hartsfield
